Martin Van Buren Amidon IX, 37,  of Newtown, died unexpectedly on April 18. He was born on February 21, 1980. He was a devoted husband and father.

His loving wife Victoria (Hooten) Amidon; adoring son Martin Van Buren Amidon X; brother Daniel Amidon; mother Diane (Olsen) Millar; stepfather Gary Millar; and many extended family members including his Gnome brothers and sister survive him. His father Martin Van Buren Amidon VIII predeceased him.

He touched the world with his music and brought smiles to the faces of everyone he met.

Calling hours are Sunday, April 23, at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm.
