To The Editor: La La Land to spirituals and gospel music of the season. Our accompanist Susan Anthony-Klein once again supported us from our early rehearsals to her excellent concert performance.http://www.newtownchoral.org/access, contact me at 426-3769 or at lel-choir2@se-ltd.com to discuss joining the Newtown Choral Society. We perform two concerts a year, sing at local events and weddings, and practice Wednesday evenings at the Newtown Middle School.

The Newtown Choral Society played to an enthusiastic crowd at our holiday concert at The Meeting House on December 10.

Our director, Mary Andreotta, led us in a varied program, from music from the movie

We were delighted to be accompanied by Jennifer Anthony-Bogue on flute, Matthew Spencer on percussion, and Hector Ares on bass.

We thank Charles Zukowski for taping our performance. We thank Jonathan Gamble and Clive Beddoe-Stephens for help in transporting our equipment.

We thank our ticket taker DeAnn Prosia.

The choir would specifically like to thank Nancy Dvorin for creating and supporting our website and our Facebook page, and Peg Heetmann, our longtime treasurer, for her service.

And we thank Peter Andrew and Andrea von Amelunxen for hosting our after-concert party at their gracious home.

Finally, we must thank my husband, Kenneth, for his computer expertise, his patience, and his muscle.

The Newtown Choral Society, now entering its 31st year, will begin rehearsals for its spring concert in January. We are a community choir and welcome new members from all area towns and have openings in all voices. Our soloists come from our membership.
