Louise N.       Conger

Louise (Nichols) Conger of Cheshire died on July 28 at the Cheshire Convalescent Center. She was the wife of Edward M. Conger.

She was born in the family homestead on Mt Pleasant, Newtown, on July 28, 1908, the daughter of James and Bessie (Dickinson) Nichols. She was a graduate of Newtown High School, the Danbury Music School, and attended Julliard. For years she gave piano lessons in her home in Bethel and later Cheshire, where she was a resident for 45 years. She was a charter member of Connecticut Music Teachers Association and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Newtown, where she was married 64 years ago.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, James E. Conger, of Cheshire; two daughters, Carol Ricker and her husband, Bruce, of Higganum, and Ruth Crespi of Cheshire; a sister, Helen DeHarne of Wahiawa, Oahu, Hawaii; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Newtown Village Cemetery.
