Look Good, Feel Better Set For April 14

DANBURY –– The American Cancer Society and the Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital will conduct a “Look Good…Feel Better” workshop at Danbury Hospital on Monday, April 14.

 The free program takes place at the Praxair Cancer Center Conference from 10 am to noon. The monthly workshops focus on teaching female cancer patients beauty techniques to help restore their appearance and self-image during chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Trained volunteer beauty experts from the community lead small groups through practical, hands-on experience regarding makeup techniques, skincare, nail care, and options related to hair loss such as wigs, turbans, and scarves. Each program participant receives a free kit of cosmetics for use during and after the workshops.

“Look Good…Feel Better” monthly workshops at Danbury Hospital in 2003 will be held on May 12, June 16, July 14, August 11, September 8, October 20, and December 8.
