Look Good, Feel Better

DANBURY — The American Cancer Society and The Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital will co-sponsor a “Look Good…Feel Better” Workshop at Danbury Hospital on Monday, November 8. The free workshop will take place at Praxair Cancer Center Conference (first floor-Stroock Building, Locust Avenue entrance) from 10 am to noon.

“Look Good…Feel Better” workshops focus on teaching female cancer patients beauty techniques to help restore their appearance and self-image during chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Trained volunteer beauty experts from the community lead small groups through practical, hands-on experience regarding makeup techniques, skin care, nail care, and options related to hair loss such as wigs, turbans, and scarves. Each program participant receives a free kit of cosmetics for use during and after the workshop.

“Look Good…Feel Better” workshops take place at Danbury Hospital on the second Monday of each month.
