To the Editor:

As picky restaurant hoppers in Newtown we came upon a convenient and quaint spot called Lucas Local on South Main Street, in town. This is a true story.

Last Thursday evening while my wife was having her nails done, I wandered across the street to Lucas Local to complete some work on my laptop while enjoying an adult beverage at the bar. When my wife joined me for dinner we enjoyed a very nice social hour with newly found friends. I packed up my laptop and laid it in the bay window. The next morning I realized that I had left the laptop at Lucas Local and had an 11 am meeting out of town. I was in a panic. After much angst and phone calls the owner Vince immediately responded and met me hours before normal opening time, saving my business day. Much to be said for a business owner that puts extraordinary customer service before anything else. Thank you, Vince!
