Linda M. Lavin, 60, of Braintree, Vt., died December 27 at her home. She was born March 16, 1954, in Waterbury, the daughter of Mary (Jordan) and Samuel  Mazzarella.

Her husband, Michael Lavin of Braintree; sisters, Mary Kirlin of Newtown and Dorothy DiCamillo of Bethany, Conn.; brothers, Michael Mazzarella and Arthur Mazzarella, both of Southbury, Keith Mazzarella of Corinth, Vt., Paul Mazzarella and David Mazzarella, both of New Milford; daughter, Sherry Carr, and husband Chuck, of Brookfield, Vt.; sons, John LaBoudy, and wife Jonie Bresett, of Williamstown, Vt., and Joseph Lavin, and companion Stephanie Sheldon; mother, Mary Mazzarella of New Milford; and two grandchildren survive Ms Lavin. Her father and brothers Samuel and Joseph predeceased her.

She was raised in New Milford, and had lived in Rochester, Vt., before moving to Braintree in 1978. She married Michael Lavin on June 28, 1986, in Randolph, Vt.

She had worked as a seamstress at Merrimaids and Green Mountain Glove in Randolph, then for Cabot Hosiery.

Ms Lavin enjoyed vegetable gardening, crocheting, and doing craft projects.

Memorial services will take place at 11 am, Saturday, January 3, at the Day Funeral Home, 4 Franklin Street, #1, Randolph, Vt. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, January 2, at the Day Funeral Home.
