Learn To Knit At Danbury Library

DANBURY — Start 2007 with a new hobby.

Danbury Library and the Candlewood Valley Knitting Guild will cosponsor a free “Learn to Knit” workshop on Sunday, January 21, from 1 to 4 pm, at the library. Participants will learn basic knitting techniques, tips for choosing yarn, needles and patterns, and what’s new in traditional and contemporary knits.

Participants should bring along one pair of knitting needles (between sizes 5-10) and a ball of worsted weight yarn. The Guild will provide needles and yarn for those who do not have supplies.

The workshop is open to adults and teens.  Registration is required by January 15 by calling the library’s Community Relations Department at 796-8061. A snow date is scheduled for Sunday, January 28.

Danbury Library is at 170 Main Street. For more information call 796-8061.
