To the Editor,The Newtown Bee in order to share your feelings about what is happening in our town. Then, we decided that it would be fun to write about, and share some of our favorite parts of Newtown with the community…

Our kindergartners learned that you can write letters to the editor at

"I like to go to the Treadwell Park. I like the slide. I like the swings. I like the tube." Brandon, age 5

"I like Newtown because there is a gas station that has full serve, so I can listen to music in the car instead of pumping my own gas." Colin, age 6

"I like to go to Dickinson Park. I like the slide. I like the zip line." Sophia, age 6

"I like to play at Dickinson Park and have ice cream at the Creamery." Nyla, age 5

"I like when I get to see Jack at baseball games at the Reed School." Paul, age 6

"I like the flowers in Newtown. They are at Dickinson Park." Kevin, age 5

"I like the baseball diamond at Reed School." Logan, age 6

"I love when Newtown is nice! I love when me and mom my go to see the flowers in Newtown!" Elise, age 6

"I love Pond Brook because I love climbing on the rocks!" Maggie B., age 6

"I love when me and my mom go to Dickinson Park and I swing on the swings." Maggie S., age 5

"I like Hawley School. I like the playground at Hawley School. What I also love at Hawley School are my teachers." Noelle, age 5

"I play at Dickinson Park. I see my friends!" Gracie, age 5

"I like going to the Peter Rabbit House in Newtown. I found a Ben's Bell there!" Cecilia, age 5

"I like the flowers in Newtown because they have colorful petals." Aniket, age 5

"I like all of my great friends in Newtown and playing at the park." Angelina, age 5
