Josephine Giannettino

Josephine Caserta Giannettino, 99, of Sandy Hook, beloved wife of the late Thomas Giannettino, died March 31 at River Glen Health Care in Southbury. Born in Bridgeport on November 3, 1917, she was a daughter of the late James and Minnie Mastriani Caserta.

Mrs Giannettino was a devout mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and was loved by everyone.

Three loving children, Andrew Giannettino, and his partner Dolores Huzar, of Florida, Rose Pettit of Sandy Hook, and JoAnne Taylo,r and her husband Michael, of California; a daughter-in-law, Mar-lyn Giannettino of Florida; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; as well as several nieces and nephews survive Mrs Giannettino. Her son, Thomas Giannettino; sister, Adeline Yorio; and brothers, John and Joseph Caserta, predeceased her.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday, April 3, from 4 to 8 pm at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 4, at 10 am in the funeral home, and at 11 am in St Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Avenue, Shelton, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull.
