Josephine Bindner, 89, of Stratford died on March 16 at Masonicare of Newtown. She was the beloved wife of the late George Bindner. A resident of Stratford for more than 50 years, Mrs Bindner had worked at Lacey Manufacturing.

Her children and their spouses, Mary Kay and Thomas Novak of Newtown, Richard Smagala of Milford, and Henry and Claire Smagala of Milford; four beloved grandchildren and their spouses, Stacey and Michael Orefice, Kenneth Smagala, Casey and Jonathan Mecca, and Ryan Novak; and three great-grandchildren survive Mrs Bindner.

A funeral service was conducted on March 20 at Commerce Hill Radozycki Funeral Home, Bridgeport. Interment will take place at a later date in Mountain Grove Cemetery of Easton.
