To the Editor:

My name is Chad Sinanian; I'm an advocate for persons with disabilities, filled with compassion and dedication. I'm really enthusiastic and sincere about helping persons with disabilities live independently and successfully in our communities.

I'm writing this letter to make all individuals in Danbury, Brookfield, Bethel, New Milford, and Newtown aware that we have a statewide advocacy group known as People First of Connecticut, which has over a dozen chapters around the state. We are currently holding board meetings at the Arc of Southington, and we have a statewide meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 25, starting at 6 pm, at the Arc of Meriden/Wallingford, 200 Research Parkway, Meriden.

I have been on the board of People First of Connecticut since 2001, and encourage all advocates and persons with disabilities to join People First of Connecticut, learn about self advocacy, how to fight for your rights, make new friends, meet old friends, and make a difference in the lives of persons with disabilities.

If anyone wants to learn about People First of Connecticut, they can find us on the internet and on Facebook.

I encourage individuals with disabilities and advocates residing in Danbury, New Milford, Bethel, Brookfield, and Newtown to join a People First Chapter - they're all around the state - and get involved with self advocacy.
