John E. Traub, 89, of Newtown, died July 10, at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of the late Ann Marie Traub. Born May 29, 1929, in Waterbury, he was the son of the late Burras and Marguerite Traub.

Mr Traub and his late wife were former residents of Bethlehem. He had been a resident of Newtown since 1969. He worked at Amphenol and Burndy before starting his own business, MCS Microcomputer Services.

Two sons, James B. Traub and wife, Alison, of England, and Thomas E. Traub of Stuart, Fla.; and two granddaughters, Rory and Riley, survive him.

In addition to his wife, one brother and two sisters predeceased him.

Friends may call Monday, July 16, from 10 to 11:30 am, at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. A Funeral Service will be at noon at the Newtown Congregational Church, 14 West Street, Newtown. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery, Bethlehem.
