John J. Haduk, 84, of Fairfield, beloved husband of Ann Rose Haduk, died June 16. Born and raised in the Bronx, N.Y., Mr Haduk was a World War II veteran, serving in the US Marine Corps in the Pacific Theater and participated in the invasion of Japan.

In addition to his devoted wife of 49 years, four daughters, including Theresa Hartley of Newtown, survive Mr Haduk. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.

He moved to Fairfield 40 years ago. He worked for the Sterling Drug Company for many years and was a longtime parishioner of St Pius X Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, was a past president of the Holy Name Society, and was a member of the parish council.

Funeral services took place June 19. Interment followed in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fairfield, with full military honors.
