Janet Brosnan, 83, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Frank Brosnan, died peacefully May 21 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Jersey City, N.J., on August 15, 1933, she was daughter of the late Helen (McGowan) and Shahen Lulejian.

Her children and their spouses, Kerry and Andrea Brosnan of Newtown, Christopher and Barbara Brosnan of Easton, Barbara and John Cooper of Trumbull, and Tara and Jeffery LaReau of Stratford; six grandchildren, Trish Weller and husband Devin, Jeffrey Cooper and wife Meghan, Elizabeth Cooper, Olivia Brosnan, Leo Brosnan, and Margaret LaReau; and three great-grandchildren survive her.

Mrs Brosnan resided in Stratford since 1963 and was employed at Nature's Way in Stratford for the past 40 years. Mrs Brosnan's greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and baking, especially her special chocolate cake with lemon icing and her famous butter cookies. She will be remembered for her family Christmases and her beautiful smile.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, May 25, from 4 to 7 pm, in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street, Stratford.

Friends are invited to attend Mrs Brosnan's funeral on Friday, May 26, at 10:30 am, by meeting directly at Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Road, Stratford, for a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Father Nicholas Pavia. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs Brosnan's memory to Our Lady of Peace Church Sanctuary Fund, 10 Ivy Street, Stratford CT 06615.
