Howard Baldwin Keynote At Monroe Means Business Event

MONROE — Hosted by the Monroe Economic Development Commission, the annual Monroe Means Business will be held October 13 at the Waterview on Route 34 overlooking Lake Zoar. Themed “Growing Your Business in Tough Economic Times,” this business-to-business networking and tabletop expo attracts developers, contractors, realtors, financial institutions and business people in and around Monroe to network and discuss business development in Monroe.

The featured speaker this year is Howard Baldwin, a leader in the formation of the World Hockey Association (WHA), one of the architects of the historic NHL-WHA merger, a force behind two of the most comprehensive and successful community relations programs in professional sports, a true Connecticut innovator and a successful movie producer.

In addition to the networking portion of the event, a tabletop expo will be available to provide an opportunity for business to showcase their products and services to the professional community.

The Monroe Means Business event and tabletop expo will kick off at 7 pm and run to 10. The event is open to the business community and there is no fee to attend.

Key personnel from the town of Monroe and the state will be on hand to answer questions and discuss development opportunities in Monroe.
