All town offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, in honor of Independence Day.

Newtown Senior Center, C.H. Booth Library, and the transfer station also will be closed on Wednesday.

There will be no regular mail delivery/pickup or retail services for the United States Postal Service on Wednesday, July 4.

EverWonder Children's Museum will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, July 3-4.

Edmond Town Hall will also be closed on Wednesday. Movie screenings will resume on Thursday.

The Newtown Chamber of Commerce office will be closed the week of July 2-6. It will reopen Tuesday, July 10.

The Bee Publishing Company offices will also be closed on Wednesday. We will reopen on Thursday, July 5.

Readers are reminded that editorial and advertising deadlines for the July 6, 2018 issue of The Newtown Bee will be affected. Items for the Business, Education, Enjoy, Health, Real Estate, Religion, and Sports sections must be received by 5 pm Monday, July 2.

Deadlines for the general news pages (A section), including letters to the editor and for calendar listings, will remain 3 pm Tuesday, July 3.

Real Estate display advertising, regular display advertising, and in-column Real Estate Classified ads must all be received by Monday, July 2, at 10 am. The deadline for regular Classifieds is 1 pm Tuesday, July 3.
