Historical Program On The Railroads

BETHEL — The Bethel Historical Society and the Danbury Railway Museum will present a slide presentation on the Shepaug, New Haven, New York, and Hartford railroads on Sunday, April 9, from 2 to 5 pm at the 1842 Second Meeting House, 40 Main Street in Bethel.

The event will be the continuation of a program that began last fall.

William Bader, local historian from Washington, Conn., and author of the book The Shepaug Railroad, will provide an historic rail tour of the Shepaug. Mr Bader also will have copies of his book available for purchase.

 Peter McLachlan of Newtown will continue his slide presentation of last fall on the New York, New Haven, and Hartford railroads.
