Harry F. Smith, Jr, 67, of North Hampton, N.H., formerly of Newtown, beloved husband of Marguerite Annette Smith, died  February 25 in Portsmouth Hospital. He was born in Granite City, Ill., on March 19, 1949, to the late Anna Kutej Smith and Harry F. Smith, Sr.

Mr Smith was a US Navy veteran and had been a Newtown resident for 25 years, prior to moving to New Hampshire three years ago. He was a graduate of the University of Bridgeport School of Engineering and worked for Perkin-Elmer for ten years, before earning his law degree from University of Bridgeport. He become a partner at Harrington and Smith Law Firm in Shelton, retiring in 2013. He was an avid gardener and art lover.

In addition to his beloved wife of 30 years, his devoted children and their spouses, Adam M. Smith and Sarah Bow-Smith of Hawaii, Joshua A. and Sarah Smith of Arizona; stepchildren, Leah M. Beattie of New Hampshire and Adam N. Prokop of Hawaii; three cherished grandchildren, Alexander F. Smith, Drew and Emery Beattie; a brother, George Malcolm Smith of Norway; and two nieces survive him.

Friends may visit with Mr Smith's family on Saturday, March 4, from 10 am to 1 pm, in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. A prayer service will be conducted at 12:30 pm with full military honors to follow. Interment will be private.
