Hadassah Breakfast With Susan

The greater Newtown area Hadassah will hold a program, “Breakfast With Susan,” on Sunday, August 17, from 10 am until noon.

SusanWeijel, a professional speaker and administrator, will share her stories of living in Israel and coping with present-day challenges. She will explain how families cope with the dangers involved in taking the city bus, or children walking to their friends’ homes, simple activities that are taken for granted in the United States.

Ms Weijel is an Israeli mother of three children, ages one through 11, and is a director of an outreach program for Yemin Orde. The facility, well known in Israel, is home to 500 displaced and abandoned children, some with learning disabilities, from all over Europe and Africa.

The daughter of Ellen and Artie Seidman of Danbury, Ms Weijel has been living in Israel for 18 years.

To register for the program and receive directions to its location, call Bernice Ullman at 270-6333. New members are welcome to be a part of this new group of women reaching out to Israel and Jewish women in the greater Danbury area.
