GWCC Will Present The Arensky Trio
WATERBURY â On Sunday, April 2, at 3 pm, The Arensky Trio will perform with works by Mozart, Arensky and Shostakovich to commemorate Mozartâs 250th birthday and Shostakovichâs 100th.
The concert, sponsored by Greater Waterbury Classic Concerts (GWCC), will be held in MacDermid Hall, at Post University, 800 Country Club Road. A brief reception with the artists will follow the concert.
Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for senior citizens and full-time students, and $5 for children under 12.

The Arensky Piano Trio, featuring violinist Katalin Viszmeg, pianist Tamila Azadaliyeva, and cellist Neal Humphreys, formed as a tribute to pianist and composer Anton Stephanivich Arensky.
Ms Viszmeg is a native of Mako, Hungary, and has performed as a soloist with various ensemble throughout Hungary. She is violin principal of Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, a member of Sylveen String Quartet, and on the faculty of the Community Division of The Hartt School of Music.
Ms Azadaliyeva has received numerous awards for her music, and teaches piano in the Community Division of The Hartt School of Music, at Renbrook School, at University of New Haven, and at GWCCâs Summer Music Institute and Festival.
Mr Humphreys has performed in orchestras under the direction of Peter Nero and Jung Ho Pak, and taught at GWCCâs Summer Music Institute and Festival.
