Giving Voters More Choices

To the Editor:

The November 7 election is fast approaching and it is slated to be an historical one. The ballot includes a petitioning candidate (Andy Clure), as well as two write-in candidates (myself and Deb Zukowski), giving voters more choices this year. As one of those write-ins, I can assure you it has been a challenge attempting to educate the public on this very rare voting process. The only thing I can say at this point to the voters is, please take the time to know all the candidates. This could be the year of reaching across party lines (or writing in a candidate), voting for the people able to make a difference - those who would be willing to work for Newtown with a common goal. Our town, like the state, could be facing many challenges in the near future. It is now time to work together and strive toward making it "Nicer in Newtown" once again. I hope to see many of you at the polls next week!

Ann LoBosco, write-in candidate for town clerk
