Gastric Bypass Surgery Program

DANBURY — Danbury Hospital surgical fellow John Garcia, MD, will be the featured speaker at the next meeting of the Bariatric Support Group meeting at Danbury Hospital. The program will take place on Wednesday, February 18, from 6 to 8 pm, in the John C. Creasy Center for Health Education auditorium.

Dr Garcia will show a PowerPoint presentation and discuss the actual gastric bypass surgery.

The Bariatric Support Group meets at Danbury Hospital on the third Wednesday of every month to help answer any questions people may have who are considering gastric bypass surgery, and to provide continuous support and maintenance of weight loss following surgery. Gastric bypass surgery is a surgical treatment for weight loss of severe obesity for people who meet the surgical criteria.
