Led by premier Peruvian trumpeter Gabriel Alegria, the free concert will feature Afro-Peruvian traditional and jazz fusion music on trumpet, sax, guitar, percussion, including cajon (box drum), cajita and quijada (donkey jawbone) vocals and zapateo dancing by a master.

The 4FutureMusic Tour 2006 lineup features some of Peru’s finest touring musicians: Gabriel Alegria on trumpet and flugel horn; Laurandrea Leguia, saxophones; Jocho Velazquez, guitars; Joscha Oetz, double bass; Freddy “Huevito” Lobaton, percussion and zapateo dancing; and Hugo Alcazar, drums.

The concert will begin at 7:30 pm and will be in WCSU’s White Hall, 181 White Street.
