Food Drive At Tree Lighting

The tree lighting at Ram Pasture this year, which is scheduled for Friday, December 4, will include a food drive. Residents can begin gathering at 6:30, and the tree will be lit at 7.

Diana Johnson, co-coordinator of the tree lighting with Janet Woycik, would like residents to consider bringing a nonperishable donation with them when they attend the event. All of the donations will benefit Newtown Social Services.

Hook & Ladder firefighters will collect the food. Members of the volunteer fire company are usually part of the event, and they will have one of their trucks on hand to receive donations.
