Floral Improv, April 11 With Namesake Of Hartford Flower Show Stoleson Creative Design Award

Terry Stoleson will be presenting a program titled “Improvisation” on Wednesday, April 11, at Newtown Senior Center, 14 Riverside Road in Sandy Hook.

Ms Stoleson’s program, hosted by The Town & Country Garden Club, will begin at 7 pm and all are welcome. Ms Stoleson will create traditional and creative floral designs with containers and materials supplied by the club. She says she hopes that her demonstration will “inspire those who want to learn more about floral art.”

Ms Stoleson has been teaching and lecturing on floral design for over thirty years. Of the many local and national awards she has received, she is proudest of the fact that the Hartford Flower Show has created an award in her honor, titled The Terry Stoleson Creative Design Award. She has been an active member of the Creative Arrangers of Connecticut since 1979 and has lectured throughout the eastern United States.

She loves her gardens and particularly enjoys being an avid student of Nature who loves to walk in the woods and hunt wild mushrooms.

There is no charge for the program. For information call Liz Arneth at 203-426-5359.
