Flagpole Photography Programs Planned

Flagpole Photographers will host a portrait photography workshop on Thursday, May 3, at 7:30 pm, at Newtown Congregational Church, 14 West Street. Models will be available to photograph in various settings.

Experienced photographers will be available to assist attendees and instruct on basic camera functions.  All levels from beginner to experienced are welcome. This is a hands on event, bring your camera. There is no charge for the workshop.

The public is also invited to attend a photo competition to be conducted on Thursday, May 17, at C.H. Booth Library, at 7:30 pm. The program will be in the lower meeting room.

Members will be competing in three categories — Assigned Subject: “Night Photography,” Open Color and Open Black & White. The public is welcome to attend to view the entries and hear commentary from a neighboring camera club judge, which is always a good opportunity for club members and visitors to learn how to improve photos. (Only members can enter the competitions.)

For additional information contact Sandy Schill at 203-270-0483, send email to flagpolephotographers@yahoo.com, or visit www.flagpolephotographers.com.
