The Dodgingtown Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting the first of what it homes will be an annual event - a pancake breakfast fundraiser - on Saturday, April 23, from 7 to 11 am.

The event will be at the company's firehouse, at 55 Dodgingtown Road.

Tickets are $5 per person and will be available at the door.

In addition to breakfast, there will be free giveaways for kids, as well as station and equipment tours.

Dodgingtown Fire Department is an all-volunteer organization that has been providing fire and rescue services to the town of Newtown since 1911. The company is always seeking new members.
