The Genealogy Club of Newtown will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, April 12, at 7 pm, at C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street.

This month's guest speakers will be genealogy storytellers Jerry and Julianne Garry. They will present their program, "Bringing Genealogy to Life Through Sight, Sound, and Motion."

The presentation will describe how this father and daughter joined forces to turn genealogical research into family heirlooms that appeal across generations through print and video. They will discuss the process and tools used to go from research and initial story writing to publishing bound books and creating videos for generations to follow.

A 30-minute video will be shown, followed by discussion of a few tips and methods to get projects started.

While Genealogy Club meetings start promptly at 7, those planning to attend are encouraged to arrive by 6:45 to enjoy conversation and light refreshments.

Call Bea Morgan at 203-304-1861 or Harlan Jessup at 203-426-3981 for additional information.

The library's Genealogy Room is open during regular hours, and on Mondays Ms Morgan and Mr Jessup are available to help those who may need a hand starting or continuing their genealogical journeys. A dedicated computer is available for such research.
