Faith P.            Serapiglia

Faith Mary (Parrs) Serapiglia, 51, of Bridgeport, a teacher at Ridgefield Academy, died on May 29 in Bridgeport Hospital.

She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Gordon Johnson of Newtown.

Born in Bridgeport and raised in Trumbull, she was the daughter of Mildred (Dailey) Parrs of Trumbull and the late Michael Parrs. Mrs Serapiglia was a graduate of Trumbull High School, Central Connecticut State University, and received a master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University. She taught at Ridgefield Academy for 20 years and was a former teacher for Daniels Farm School and Center School in Trumbull. She was a member of the Trumbull VFW 100059 Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her mother and sister, survivors include her beloved husband, Carmine M. Serapiglia; two daughters, Elizabeth M. Serapiglia of Boston, Mass., and Michelle J. Serapiglia of New Hampshire; her godfather, Joseph Yurechko of Trumbull; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, June 2, at 11 am in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. At the request of the family, all other services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs Serapiglia’s memory may be made to the Faith Serapiglia Scholarship Fund, Ridgefield Academy, 22A West Mountain Road, Ridgefield, CT 06877.
