To the Editor:Our Sole Source, which was screened on Saturday, and also contributed printing of presentation materials.

On behalf of the Pootatuck Watershed Association, I wish to thank the many people who supported the PWA open house on Saturday, February 11. Monetary contributions to the event include Newtown Savings Bank, which sponsored the custom water bottles, Caraluzzi's, which provided the food and beverages, and Big Y, which provided paper goods. Aquarion Water Company gave a generous donation for the updating of the PWA film,

The Land Use Agency of Newtown also printed maps and presentation boards. Rob Sibley, deputy director of Planning and Land Use, provided much key information, and several photos, on green infrastructure in Newtown. The entire Land Use agency staff helped out in many ways.

Volunteers besides the PWA board who gave their time include Neil Baldino, Gunnar Cedergren, Janet Hovious, and Kyra Middeleer. Neil and Gunnar staffed exhibit tables, while Janet managed the food and drinks. Kyra spent many hours designing most of the presentation boards and preparing them for printing.

A special thanks to Cole Baldino, who interned for PWA in 2016, for his presentation on the 2016 summer projects and on watershed protection, and to Dan Holmes, PWA board member, who created the information-packed, enjoyable film.

A final thanks to our enthusiastic audience for your support of PWA and interest in the important matters of water quality and conservation. Please stay involved, and consider donating to or becoming a member of the Pootatuck Watershed Association -help us continue our work.

Sincerely,

Sarah W. Middeleer
