It's with great enthusiasm I submit this letter of recommendation, supporting Matthew (Matt) Mihalcik for Legislative Council, District 2. In my years of working with Matt on the Economic Development Commission, he's always brought common sense, commitment, and hard work to the issues at hand. Matt has the Newtown community at the forefront of his decision making at all times. Never afraid of hard work and able to provide creative thinking, Matt is reliable, works tirelessly, and is truly a pleasure to work with.

Matt has invested many hours and provided guidance to a range of entrepreneurs and small business owners in Newtown. As a long time counselor with SCORE, Service Corp of Retired Executives, Matt finds volunteer time in his professional and personal schedule to support small business owners and help them succeed in crafting their "American Dream." His financial knowledge and contributions, working as a branch manager for the Newtown Savings Bank in Southbury, are some of Matt's many assets to any organization.

I encourage the Newtown community, specifically District 2 voters, to join me in supporting Matt Mihalcik for Legislative Council on November 7. We need more people like Matt Mihalcik in this world. Newtown is lucky to have him in our community.
