This report corrects and completes information from the Town Clerk that ran in the November 17 print edition regarding the Planning & Zoning Commission and elected alternates.

Local municipal election results November 7 mirrored polling outcomes that were seen across Connecticut and the nation, with Democrats taking over majorities on virtually every elected Newtown panel.

This week, newly re-elected Town Clerk Debbie Aurelia Halstead provided a certified list of newcomers and incumbents who won re-election to the local political process.

A ceremonial public swearing-in event has been scheduled for 4 pm on Sunday, November 19, in the Edmond Town Hall Theatre, although the officials will be all taking office December 1, per Charter stipulation.
