ON THE ROAD FOR APRIL 18

Can't make it to Radio 104's Earth Day in the Park/Modern Rock The Earth

concert this Sunday? If it's BARENAKED LADIES (the group...) you want to see

and aren't going to be getting up to Hartford to do so, the band is playing a

quietly-publicized, but open to the public show at Sacred Heart University

next Friday night.

Tickets for the April 25 show are on sale for $20 each, seating is general

admission, and the show starts around 8 pm in the school's gymnasium. Call

SHU's ticket office, 371-7846, for details.

Ten years after the initial release of singer-songwriter PAUL SIMON's

much-celebrated (five Grammys), multi-platinum masterpiece Graceland , Warner

Bros. Records is reissuing the album as an enhanced CD next Tuesday.

The new version will replace the old format and a complete retail conversion

is expected by early summer. The enhanced anniversary edition was developed in

conjunction with Broadway Interactive Group, a multimedia development and

production arm of Broadway Video, New York.

Among the highlights of the new version are video footage from the Graceland

recording sessions; new interviews with Simon, guitarist Ray Phiri and

Ladysmith Black Mambazo's Joseph Shabalala; a gallery of stills and footage

from the Graceland tour, including the finale in Zimbabwe; highlights from

Simon's Graceland -era appearance on "Saturday Night Live" and the "You Can

Call Me Al" video; and Simon's handwritten lyrics to the songs, along with his

track-by-track comments. PC and MAC systems will be able to play the ROM

tracks.

Until next week, I'll be seeing you... on the road.
