Superintendent of Schools Joseph V. Erardi, Jr., in partnership with the district’s PTA presidents, is set to hold a community forum, “An All-School Parent Conversation Focused On Teaching, Learning, and the Proposed 2015-16 Spending Plan,” on Tuesday, March 10. The one-hour event, starting at 7:30 pm, will take place in the Lecture Hall at Newtown High School, 12 Berkshire Road.

The meeting is co-sponsored by the PTA Leadership Council, which includes all Newtown Schools.

The design of the gathering is to share information on the present state of Newtown Schools and to also share information on how the parent community can be an active partner with teaching and learning. In addition, Dr Erardi will share the new initiatives that the Board of Education has introduced within the 2014-15 school year. Administration members will also address the 2015-16 proposed budget.

The forum is open to all community members; however, the information will be most relevant to parents who have children attending Newtown Schools.
