Barn Star Productions and Newtown Historical Society have announced a new collaboration: The Newtown Antiques Market, a one day, outdoor antiques show scheduled to debut on the first day of summer: June 21.

The market will be presented at Fairfield Hills and will include up to 100 exhibitors in an informal environment of tents and pop-up canopies presenting a wide spectrum of antiques from early American furniture to fine art, ceramics, jewelry, stoneware, cast iron urns and garden furniture, architectural elements, weathervanes and folk art, sets of chairs, tables, clocks, plus many more categories too numerous to mention.

Comments show manager Frank Gaglio: “For months, our dealers have been asking for a show in June that is centrally located, cost effective and a one day format where they do not have to commit to multiple days in the summer time. The Newtown Antiques Market seemed to fit all of their criteria plus benefitting the Newtown Historical Society was a great fit — but first and foremost will be the wonderful antiques our exhibitors will be bringing for sale so plan to spend the day.”

The show will also include participation of several community organizations including local firefighters, Newtown Lions Club and Newtown Historical Society. The fun and festive day will be presented from 10 am to 5 pm rain or shine.

Admission will be $10 per person, with plenty of free parking.

For more information or to inquire about participation, visit www.barnstar.com or www.newtownhistory.org or call 845-876-0616.
