Comedy For Church’s Benefit

Town Players of Newtown’s 2004 season will open on May 7 with Marc Camoletti’s hilarious comedy (adapted by Robin Hawdon) Don’t Dress For Dinner at The Little Theatre on Orchard Hill Road in Newtown.

The opening night performance is being co-sponsored by the Women’s Fellowship of Newtown Congregational Church. All tickets for the Friday, May 7, performance are $20. Curtain is 8 pm.

The play tells of Bernard, who is hoping to entertain his chic Parisian mistress, Suzy, while his wife Jacqueline is away visiting her mother. He has even invited his best friend Robert as his alibi. What could possibly go wrong? Mix all these ingredients and the result is the perfect recipe for an evening of hilarious fun.

Due to limited seating capacity, early reservations are suggested. Call The Little Theatre’s box office at 270-9144 for details or reservations. Newtown Congregational Church office can also be reached at 426-9024 for ticket purchases and details.
