Center Offers Holiday Specials

WATERBURY, CONN. — The Be Well Center of Waterbury Hospital and J.C. Penney are joining forces this holiday season to keep area women healthy.

Women who choose to have their screening mammogram at The Be Well Center during the month of December will receive a coupon for 15 percent off any salon service at J.C. Penney.  Appointments are necessary. Salon services include hair cutting, styling, coloring or perming, nail services, including manicures, as well as other pampering services. In addition, J.C. Penney will also reward women with a free take-home gift. Both The Be Well Center and J.C. Penney are located at Brass Mill Center Mall in Waterbury.

The Be Well Center, now in its fourth year at the mall, offers screening mammography with or without an appointment. Evening and Saturday hours are also provided to meet women’s busy schedules. A physician’s prescription is not required; however, the woman must have a doctor to whom the results can be sent.

The center also offers therapeutic massage by appointment. Holiday gift certificates for massage are available at $25 for a neck and back massage, and $65 for an hour-long full body massage.

In addition to mammography and massage, The Be Well Center is also a fully licensed blood drawing facility. All prescription blood and laboratory services are handled without an appointment. Fasting and non-fasting cholesterol testing is offered for $20 and $10 respectively. Glucose tests are $10. The results of these tests are sent directly to the patient within three to five working days.
