To the Editor:

It is with great pleasure that I endorse Jeff Capeci for the Board of Selectman. I first met Jeff 21 years ago when he, his wife Tanya, and their two children moved to Newtown. He hit the ground running with volunteering as a religious teacher at St Rose and as a Cub Scout leader. Jeff began his service to the town as a member of the Legislative Council, serving for four terms, two as the chairman, and subsequently was chairman of the past two Charter Revision Committees. He is currently in his second term as chairman of the Republican Town Committee. Having personally been fortunate enough to serve five terms as a selectman here in town, I can tell you without reservation that Jeff has all of the qualifications to excel in his capacity as selectman. He has the experience and the ability to see all sides of a discussion. From a personal standpoint you simply couldn't ask for a finer individual. What he has done helping others over the years speaks volumes about his spirit of giving of himself first and foremost. Please join me in voting for Jeff Capeci as Selectman on November 7.
