Campus Notes

Monica Cluff, daughter of Laura Hegarty and Andy Cluff of Newtown, was named to the Dean’s List at Fairfield University for the spring semester while studying abroad at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Monica, a 2003 graduate of NHS, was inducted to Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing this fall. Monica is also president of the Fairfield University Equestrian Team which is in first place among Region 2 — Connecticut, Long Island and New York City schools.

Elizabeth Cole, daughter of Sheila and Jerry Cole of Newtown, has been named a Presidential Scholar at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Penn. As a Presidential Scholar, Liz, a 2006 graduate of Nonnewaug High School, receives a $7,500 scholarship renewable for all four years.

Newtown resident Chevon Miles has attained honors for the first marking period at Notre Dame Catholic High School in Fairfield.
