“Although we would love to get the W in these dual meets, it is all about building our team, one meet at a time. We had our sprinters and mid-distance make a big jump with their performances today. We are still looking for our jumpers to give us those big jumps we are looking for. We had a mixed day from our throwers and are looking for their consistency to bring this team forward,” Brant said.

Newtown will host the Midnight Meet on Friday, May 1, beginning at 4:30 pm, and the Hawks will host a meet on Monday, May 4, beginning at 4 pm when Bunnell of Stratford, Brookfield, and Notre Dame-Fairfield  visit.

Brenden Reeds competes in a relay race during Newtown's visit to Masuk of Monroe on April 27.
