PEKALE SHOWS PRE FEB 8 w/2 cuts

ak/lsb set 1/30 #764176

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. — Residents on Long Island’s East End welcome the 20th annual Winter Antiques Fair as it returns Sunday, February 8, to the Marriott Islandia Hotel’s Grand Ballroom, from 10 am to 4:30 pm. Under the management of Elias Pekale Shows, 60 exhibitors will display a diverse selection of merchandise.

The fair is an annual wintertime antiques event — informal and comfortable — yet an exciting treasure hunt. “One of our favorite shows. Our exhibitors always look to bring some surprises for our customers out here,” said Sheila Pekale. “Whatever you collect, from Twentieth Century paintings to Roy Rogers lunchboxes, it’s all waiting to be uncovered by the enthusiastic collector.”

An especially exciting show with a number of new exhibitors, as well as returning dealers, it includes Irene Nardolillo with cottage furnishings and decorative accessories; Andrea Meyer from Northport, N.Y., featuring vintage ladies’ accessories and hand painted fine porcelain; Cluttered Hall of Port Washington, N.Y., with American art pottery; Ina Merdinger of Just For You showcases designer and fine state jewelry; and Joy Starr, Englewood Cliffs, N.J., displaying a large inventory of silver.

Also offered will be an assortment of vintage linens and textiles from C.J. Brown. Other dealers offer wares that include advertising memorabilia, World War II, trade cards and other ephemera, kitchen collectibles, Depression glass, china, primitives, Americana and country smalls. A wide assortment of Long Island maps, postcards, railroad material and first day covers are presented by Charles Huttenen; Al White surprises with trains, toys and vintage “Baby Boomer” games; while other dealers feature linens, art glass, Roseville, sports collectibles and stoneware.

The Marriott Islandia Hotel is on the Long Island Expressway, Route 495 Exit 58. Admission is $6 and children under 12 are free. For information, Elias Pekale Shows, Ltd, Box 263, Merrick, NY 11566, www.pekaleshows.com or 516-868-2751.
