To the Editor:

What can be said about Mitch Bolinsky? That he is a dedicated and passionate advocate for Newtown in our State Capitol? He is that and more.

Mitch Bolinsky has always been a caring and giving individual. He puts the needs of others far above his own, both as a state representative and as my father. Growing up, as a parent, he was always seeking to understand different viewpoints and find a way to meet the needs of all involved. This is a quality that he has also extended to his work as the state representative for Newtown. He is a strong leader, organized, kind, and totally approachable. He can keep a secret and, along with it, discreetly solve problems in the most sensitive and loving way.

He has a warm smile that conveys his trustworthiness and insight. My father has always been there to guide me through any struggle or new chapter of life with his warm smile, and often with his strange sense of humor. No one can make me laugh quite like Dad.

Mitch has been nurturing the youth of Newtown and their families since we moved to Newtown about 16 years ago. Whether it was being cubmaster for Scouts at Head O' Meadow School, performing his justice of the peace duties, or teaching Newtown teens how to drive, he is dedicated to working with individuals and seeing the big picture all at the same time, with great caring and dedication to making people happy, doing good, or righting a wrong.

He shows a certain balance time and again, especially as Newtown's two-term state representative. He has tirelessly worked on and towards each piece of legislation he's advocated for, written, co-sponsored, or voted on. I truly believe that there is no better person to represent Newtown than the man that has been my biggest inspiration.

Please vote to re-elect Mitch Bolinsky as Newtown's state representative on November 8. He has your back.

Sincerely,

Rachel Bolinsky
