To the Editor:

On the very day that Governor Dannel Malloy instructed state and other police agencies not to cooperate with ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] when they are seeking illegal aliens who have committed crimes, an illegal alien who had been deported for a violent crime, but who snuck back into the state, allegedly murdered his estranged wife and kidnapped their daughter. This triggered a widespread Amber Alert that was received via text message by many Newtown residents and others throughout the state.

Malloy and the liberals who support sanctuary city status for illegal criminals have the murdered woman's blood on their hands. This same outrageous tragedy happened in our state a couple of years ago, when an illegal immigrant from Haiti was released from a Connecticut state prison, avoided deportation, and then stabbed a young Norwich woman to death. The young woman's mother reached out to Connecticut Senators Lieberman and Murphy, who promised they would make sure nothing like that ever happened again, but the mother said they did nothing other than solicit her via e-mail for campaign contributions. So when someone you love is robbed, raped, or murdered by illegal aliens sheltered by the liberals, just feel good that they were sacrificed on the altar of political correctness and a sick liberal ideology that favors illegals over law-abiding citizens.
