Beverly M. Muehlenbein

Beverly M. Muehlenbein, 82, of New Milford died January 6, at Danbury Hospital after a brief illness. She was born April 27, 1934, in Neenah, Wis., a daughter of the late Ethel (Sutton) and Alvin Manteufel.

Her children and their spouses, Catherine and Thomas Kokinchak of Newtown; Donna and Jared Bradley of Sandy Hook; Kenneth and Lena Muehlenbein of New Milford; Patrick Muehlenbein of Bethel; and Peggy Muehlenbein of New Milford, survive her. She is also survived by her siblings, Julius Manteufel of Aniwa, Wis.; Robert Manteufel, Sylvia Sturgis, and Lois Zemlock, all of Neenah; Dale Manteufel of Hortonville, Wis.; and Helen Johnson of 29 Palms, Calif.; as well as her grandchildren, Robert E. and Brian C. Muehlenbein and Andrew Kokinchak, and great-grandchildren. Her husband, Robert, predeceased her on June 20, 1985. Her brothers Raymond and Merlin and her sister Mildred also predeceased her.

She graduated from Neenah High School in 1952, and on February 11, 1956, she married Robert H. Muehlenbein in Menasha, Wis. They moved to New Milford, in 1958. Mrs Muehlenbein was a member of the Bridgewater Grange in Bridgewater, St Francis Xavier, and Our Lady of The Lakes Altar Society and Rosary Society.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, January 16, at 10 am at Our Lady of The Lakes Church, 3 Old Town Park Road, New Milford. Interment will take place at St Francis Cemetery in New Milford in the spring.

Calling hours will be Sunday, January 15, from 1 to 4 pm at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford.
