Anna Grasso Pesavento, 93, of Fairfield, wife of the late Alfred Pesavento, died peacefully August 6. Born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Anthony and Angelina Petite Grasso, she was a lifelong Fairfield resident.

Her son, Fred Pesavento, and his wife, Cathy, of Newtown; her grandchildren and their spouses, Staci and David Vergati and Scott and Kari Pesavento; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews survive her.

Her brothers, Leonard and Victor Grasso, and a sister, Filamina Carpenter, predeceased her.

Mrs Pesavento was very proud of her Italian heritage and was a great Italian cook and baker. More than anything else, she loved the times that she spent with her family.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, August 18, at 11 am, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Her interment will be held privately.
