ACS Is Planning A Sew-In
DANBURY â The Connecticut chapter of the American Sewing Guild is planning a community service project, Comfy Quilts, where member and non-member sewers will make lap quilts for cancer patients in area hospitals.
The Sew-In will be on Saturday, June 4. Anyone interested is welcome to join the group between 10 am and 3 pm. They will be at St James Episcopal Church, at 25 West Street.
Participants will need to bring their own sewing machine or serger, neutral thread, basic sewing supplies (bundles of squares is optional), and their own lunch.
For additional information call 746-5237. Anyone wishing to donate fabric and/or batting, or to cut and sew quilt tops before the day of the sew-in can also call that number to volunteer.
