To the Editor:

Last Saturday the town clerk's office sponsored our 32nd low-cost rabies vaccination clinic, held in the Edmond Town Hall gymnasium.

My very special thanks to Rakesh Vali, DVM, of Mt Pleasant Hospital for Animals and his assistant, Mary Simpson, both of whom donated their time and service; and to Virginia Jess from Canine Advocates and Marion Thompson from Newtown Woman's Club, who brought their volunteers to help get 74 pets in and out in only two hours. I could not run the clinic without them.

And thanks to my assistants Renee Weimann, and Monica Duhancik, who were on hand to issue 31 dog licenses to Newtown residents.
