To the Editor:

This is a response to last week's "State of Our Union" [letter from Richard Cole, Letter Hive, May 19, 2017].

While I do agree with some points in your letter and disagree with others, I take exception to your flippant attitude with regard to the Russians' interfering in our elections. You wrote saying that you didn't get a phone call from the Russians. You must be on their no call list.

I have a suggestion for you. The next time you have a free day, get in your car and drive to Washington, DC. While there, go to Arlington National Cemetery. You will see heroes who gave their lives and served their country so you and I could vote. It wasn't a joke to them, nor should it be to you.
