‘Transatlantic Airships’ Next Newtown Historical Society Program
Newtown Historical Society will host its next program at C.H. Booth Library on Monday, May 6.
Jason Scaputicci knows that while much of the general public is familiar with one airship — the Hindenburg — there is a rich an fascinating history of attempts and schemes to cross the Atlantic Ocean with airships.
Through pictures and narration, Mr Scaputicci will share more of the interesting and largely forgotten history the dirigibles in his program “Transatlantic Ships.”
The program will begin at 7:30 pm in the lower meeting room of the library, 25 Main Street. There is no fee, and light refreshments will be served following the presentation.
